Overview

The Link Knock Sensor with Loom is a non-resonant piezoelectric knock sensor supplied pre-wired with a 2.6 m loom and flying leads for fast, reliable installation. Designed to detect engine knock (detonation) by monitoring engine block vibrations, it transmits these vibrations as an electrical signal to a compatible ECU, allowing knock to be detected and engine calibration adjusted to help protect the engine while optimising performance.

Models Supported

Link ECUs with knock detection capability.

Other aftermarket ECUs with compatible knock sensor inputs.

The pre-wired loom also makes it ideal for use with the Link KnockLink Visual Warning Light (PN).

Warnings

Install directly onto a suitable flat surface on the engine block. Recommended tightening torque: 20 +/- 5 Nm. Correct mounting torque is critical for accurate knock detection. One or more sensors may be required depending on the engine and application.
