Buying from Link
Who can order from the Link consumer website?
Customers in Australia with an Australian delivery address. The store is for purchases by individuals for personal use.
Can businesses or resellers order through the Link consumer website?
The online store is intended for end customers. Link may reject or cancel an order if it reasonably believes the order is for commercial, business or resale purposes.
If you wish to purchase for commercial or business purposes then please contact us.
If you want to buy for resale, contact us about becoming a Link Reseller. You can find out more about becoming a Reseller here: Become a Dealer
Selecting Link products
How do I know if a Link product is right for my vehicle?
Check that the product is suitable for your vehicle, engine and intended use before you order.
Installing the wrong product can result in engine or vehicle damage, so please read the product descriptions and details carefully before you buy.
We recommend contacting a Link Dealer for the full service package: project advice, product selection, installation, set-up and support.
If you are unsure in any way, please contact us aussales@linkecu.com – we are here to help.
Are Link products legal for use on public roads?
Not always. Link products are designed for motorsport, competition, off-road, development and specialist applications, and some products or installations may not be legal for road use.
You are responsible for making sure your installation and use comply with the law. Link products must not be used to illegally disable or bypass emissions or vehicle safety systems.
Who should install and tune my Link product?
We recommend installation and tuning by a qualified professional.
Incorrect wiring, installation or tuning can damage the vehicle or other components and may create unsafe conditions. Always follow the current Link manuals, technical information and safety instructions.
Is the product I want currently in stock?
The stock status shown on each product page tells you whether the product is currently available to order.
If a product is unavailable, the product page will show the options available to you. Availability can change, particularly for high-demand products.
Payment and orders
What will I be charged for my order?
Your order confirmation will show the total price for your order, including GST and applicable delivery charges.
Payment is made in full when you place your order using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
When is my order confirmed?
When you receive our order confirmation email. We may cancel an order if stock is unavailable, if there is a pricing or listing error, or if the order appears to be for business purposes or resale. If we cancel, we refund you in full.
What happens if a price on the website is wrong?
We will contact you. You can pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Shipping and delivery
Where does Link ship online orders?
Orders placed through the Link website are delivered to Australian addresses only. Customers outside Australia can buy through an official Link Reseller in their country.
Some locations may not be available for delivery. If Link cannot deliver to your nominated address, we will contact you to discuss the available options.
When will my order be dispatched?
We aim to process and dispatch in-stock orders as quickly as possible. Once your order has been dispatched, we’ll send you a shipping confirmation with the available tracking information.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order has been dispatched, we’ll send you tracking details by email where tracking is available. Use the tracking link in your shipping confirmation to check the latest delivery status with the carrier.
How long will my Link order take to arrive?
Delivery times are estimates. If we expect a significant delay, we will contact you with a new timeframe. If it doesn't suit you, you can cancel your order.
What if I'm not home?
We send all orders with tracking and a signature required on delivery.
If no one is available to sign for the parcel and you have not chosen authority to leave, the carrier will follow its normal process for redelivery or collection.
Please make sure your address is accessible and safe for the carrier. Redelivery or a change of address may cost extra.
You can choose to have your order delivered without a signature. If you do, you accept the risk of the parcel being left unattended at the delivery address. Once the carrier has confirmed delivery, Link cannot be responsible for loss, theft or damage that happens after delivery.
What happens if my parcel is lost in transit?
If your tracking information has stopped updating or your parcel has not arrived when expected, contact Link and we’ll help investigate it with the carrier.
Please have your order number and delivery details ready. In some cases, we may need to wait for the carrier to complete its investigation before we can confirm the next step.
What should I do if my Link order arrives damaged or I receive a product I didn’t order?
Email us with your order number, details of the problem, and a photo of the package. Keep all packaging and products until we reply with next steps.
Returns
Can I return a Link product?
Contact Link before sending any product back. Returns require prior written approval from Link and must follow the return shipping instructions we provide.
When might a return or refund be declined?
When the product:
- is returned more than 14 days after delivery
- Has been installed or used
- has been discontinued
- was made to order or modified to your requirements
- doesn't pass our inspection
Who pays for return shipping?
This depends on why the product is being returned.
If Link has approved a return because we supplied the wrong product, the product arrived damaged, or there is a valid fault or warranty issue, we will advise you on the return process and it will be at our cost.
For other approved returns, you may be responsible for the cost of returning the product.
Contact Link before sending anything back so we can confirm the correct process.
Can I exchange a product for a different one?
Contact Link before returning a product if you think you ordered the wrong item.
Whether an exchange is possible will depend on the condition of the product, whether it has been installed or used, and whether the replacement product is available.
Does this affect my rights under Australian Consumer Law?
No. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply in addition to our returns policy and warranty.
Warranty
What does the warranty cover?
Link's Extended Lifetime Warranty applies to Link-manufactured:
- Engine Control Units (ECUs)
- Power Distribution Modules (PDMs)
- DI-Drivers
- CAN-Lambda modules
The Extended Lifetime Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and installation for the lifetime of the covered product, subject to the warranty conditions and exclusions.
If Link accepts a valid warranty claim, Link may choose to repair the product, replace it with a new or refurbished product of comparable function, or refund the purchase price.
What does "lifetime" mean?
“Lifetime” means the period the Product continues to be used by the original purchaser.
Who is covered?
The original purchaser only. The warranty doesn't transfer to a new owner, so second-hand products aren't covered.
If you buy a used Link product, the original owner's warranty does not transfer to you.
What isn’t covered by the Link warranty?
The Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover problems caused by:
- Damage from incorrect installation, misuse, neglect, accident, or external causes such as water
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage
- Products that have been modified or used with incompatible software or components
- Products installed in road-registered vehicles, or used outside the product's intended purpose
- DThe warranty also excludes products once they have been discontinued.
Does software affect my warranty?
Yes. Always use the latest version of Link's tuning software from our website. Using an outdated version, or setups we don't support, voids the warranty. The software is licensed for use on one device at a time, in the country where you bought the product.
How do I make a Link warranty claim?
Start by contacting the place where you originally purchased the product.
If you bought from our online store, contact us at aussales@linkecu.com to start a claim. If you bought from a Link Reseller, contact them.
A product submitted for warranty assessment must be returned to the original place of purchase with proof of purchase.
What will Link do if my claim is approved?
If Link accepts a valid warranty claim, Link may choose to repair the product, replace it with a new or refurbished product of comparable function, or refund the purchase price.
A repaired or replacement product remains covered only for the remainder of the original product's warranty period.
Does the Link warranty affect my rights under Australian Consumer Law?
No. The Link Extended Lifetime Warranty is in addition to any rights and remedies you have under Australian Consumer Law.
Consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or changed continue to apply.
Where can I find the full legal terms?
These FAQs provide a simple summary of some of the most relevant terms. Please read Link's full Terms and Conditions of Sale and Extended Lifetime Warranty for the complete conditions, exclusions and legal information.
