Link dominates at final round of BDC
It was a weekend of wins once again for Link ECU at the final round of the 2018 British Drift Championship.
16-year-old Pro-Am driver Ryan Caldwell in his Nissan S15, which runs a G4+ Xtreme, was the first to take home the silverware, after obliterating the competition on the circuit and taking the win in his class. As a result, he was the overall 2018 Pro-Am runner up.
In the same class, Lee Scott and his BMW E46, powered by an RB25 and using a Link G4+ Xtreme, was the Pro-Am champion, even though at the strat of the year he had never intended to complete the BDC season!
As winner of the Pro-Am round, Caldwell could progress through to the following day’s Pro competition. As the battles wore on, he proved that he is as good as the drivers in the top class, going on to take 3rd place on the podium.
Pro driver Duane McKeever, who runs a G4+ Fury in his Nissan 180sx, confirmed his status as one of the world’s best drifters, after taking the 2018 Pro championship. Having won 5 out of the 6 rounds, his clean sweep was thwarted in the final battle of the weekend, after he was outdriven by valiant opponent Aurimas Vaskelis.
Congratulations to all of you, everyone at Link ECU is very proud!
