Nissan March Two build for NZ Superlap
The Lab Limited in Hamilton has built up this special Nissan March Two vehicle to contest the New Zealand Superlap series, and various other events across the country.
The final car is a combination of a five-door and three-door March, with a pretty epic power to weight ratio. Powered by a Link G4+ plugin, it promises to go as sharp as it looks!

VQ35DE eng bottom end from J31 Maxima
Cyl heads and inlet manifold from early 350Z
Twin Garrett GT2860RS turbos
11:1 Wiseco forged pistons
Eagle rods
Cometic head gaskets
ARP L19 head and main studs
ACL race bearings
JWT ally flywheel
ID 1300cc injectors
Link 350z G4+ ECU
Race Logic/Link Dash2 Pro
Link fuel and oil pressure sensors & ethanol content sensor
Link fuel and oil pressure sensors & ethanol content sensor
A plethora of Speedflow fittings and filters etc
Gearbox is USDM Sentra six speed with Maxima VQ35DE bellhousing attached, this gives a helical LSD that’s otherwise unavailable with that bellhousing.
370z Nissan/Akebono brake calipers, Z1 motorsports rotors (custom hates for the rear)
Full custom lower suspension arms and subframes built by The Lab
DTM Gravity wheels and Nexen semi slicks, wheels are 18 by 9 front and 18 by 10 rear
400Kws at the hubs 700Nm of torque at ~13PSI
That is the current limit for the single plate clutch we will need to upgrade soon!
Carbon fiber roof, aluminium wide body kit/flares etc
OMP setas, Sabelt six point harnesses
Woodward steering shaft and quick release etc
Glenn Hodges, owner of the Lab Limited, will drive the car himself and plans to just get out there & have some fun getting used to a very different package. After a successful testing period, Glenn’s first race event will be the NZ Superlap series at Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park, Taupo.
