Winning weekend for Link ECU

What a weekend it was for Link Legends across the globe! Link ECU powered cars proved victorious in various events and disciplines, from the USA to Ireland.

In Washington, USA, Formula Drift was in town for Round Five of the 2019 competition.

Link ECU sponsored Drift Pilot’s James Deane and Piotr Wiecek stole the show for the weekend. The Worthouse Drift team Drivers topped the charts in QuMalifying, taking first and second spots respectively. The Duo then went on to duke it out in the final battles for the weekend, too. What a Final it was!

In the end, the judging panel (and crowd) awarded Polish Sensation Piotr with the Win; his first victory in Formula Drift.

Both James and Piotr’s 2JZ powered S15s are controlled by the Link Thunder ECU. The cars also feature a Link MXS Strada dash each, to ensure the Drivers have engine information and warning signals displayed in the cockpit.

On the other side of the world, some more Elite Drifters were in action at Mondello Park at the Drift Games Xtreme series. The Driver line-up included Link ECU sponsored Brothers Jack and Conor Shanahan. The Shanahan’s debuted new cars this season, with Jack driving a 2JZ powered Toyota 86 and Conor in a 2JZ S15. The pair have been focusing on the Drift Masters European Championship this year, but decided to do yet another round of Drift Games closer to home for some more seat time. It sure paid off! The younger of the brothers, Conor, took his first professional victory in Ireland on a wet and wild circuit!

This now means Conor has won Pro events in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Jack narrowly finished second after an equally spectacular final between the two team mates!

Jack and Conor’s cars utilise the Link Fury ECU and an extensive accessories package.

Congratulations to Alan Hynes who managed to complete a full Link ECU podium lock out!

However, Drifting was just one discipline where Link ECU succeeds.

In Jordan this past weekend: Link ECU Dealer NMK Performance set the world Record for the highest Horsepower M50:

And, back in the USA, RalyGrl Amanda Skelly and Co-driver Sarah Freeze won their class in the New England Forest Rally in her ’97 Subaru Impreza:

True Champions. Well Done All!
