Engine and Gearbox Control Should Go Together

LinkECU Automatic Gearbox Control landscape graphic

LinkECU’s Automatic Gearbox (Transmission) Control gives tuners complete control over selected 4-speed automatic gearboxes through the same ECU that controls the engine. No external transmission control unit (TCU) or paid software upgrades are needed.

Automatic Control allows the gearbox to be tailored to suit the vehicle, driver and application. Shift points can be set by RPM, line pressure can be tuned for slower, smoother shifts or quicker, more aggressive shifts, and torque converter lockup can be managed to control how directly the engine is connected to the drivetrain. Manual shift modes are also supported, giving the driver direct control when required.

Up to three different shift tables can be used, making it possible to create different gearbox behaviours for different situations, from smooth street driving to aggressive motorsport use. Built into LinkECU’s motorsport-proven ECU platform, Automatic Control brings engine and gearbox strategy together in one system.

Automatic Control is only available on the G4X XtremeX and FuryX, plus all Plug-in and G5 ECUs.

GM Global A Transmission CAN Mode

GM Global A Transmission CAN Mode allows an automatic transmission from a GM Global A vehicle to be used in a different vehicle. In this mode, the Link ECU provides the required CAN data to the transmission controller, allowing the transmission to continue operating correctly outside its original vehicle platform.
