Shanahan brothers to World Time Attack!
Conor & Jack Shanahan to compete in Australia at the International Drifting Cup
Big news has just been announced today that Irish drift stars Conor and Jack Shanahan will be in Sydney, Australia to compete at the International Drifting Cup, part of the World Time Attack Challenge next month.
Link Engine Management are proud long-term supporters of the Shanahan brothers, the latest breed of sensational Irish drifting talent to come through the Irish Drift Championship (IDC).
Older brother Jack (18) is the 2017 IDC champion and younger brother Conor (15) earned his pro license last year by winning the Pro Am category in the IDC. This year, both Conor & Jack have been competing in the Drift Masters Championship throughout Europe. Conor took to the world stage on his 15th Birthday in stellar fashion, WINNING the season opener in Poland! Beating James Deane in the final was a spectacular start to the season for the young star who has been competing in a drift car since 12 years of age. Jack has had mixed success this year with a few car troubles plaguing his European season, but both brothers proved their talent is no joke with consistent Top 5 qualifying positions at most rounds.
In Sydney, Jack will be driving an the below old skool Toyota AE86 powered by an SR20 engine and Link G4+ Monsoon ECU.
Conor will be driving the below convertible S13 powered by an LS2 Turbo and a Link G4+ Xtreme ECU.
Link ECU is very excited to see these two compete in Australia and wish to extend a large congratulations to Ian Baker (WTAC) and Frances Hayes (the publican of the Bald Rock Hotel) for bringing the talented Irishmen down under.
The Shanahan brothers will be signing posters and taking photos at the Link ECU stand in trader alley over the race weekend. Stay tuned on the Link ECU Facebook page for time slots for when you can meet the drivers at the stand.
